  • Students read the teachers’ comments about correcting learners’ spoken and

written English and discuss questions below. Allow two minutes for the discussions.

- Do you agree or disagree with the statement, and why?

- Which teacher’s opinion you liked best? Why?

  • After group discussion, feed back with the whole group on the statements so that participants can discuss and exchange views on correcting learners and why correction is important (see key below for some suggested points).
