Text A. Computers in industry.
Many industries are being transformed by the use of computers. You probably already know that automobile and other product manufacturers use computer based robots to do much of the routine work. People are involved not only in operating the robots, but designing them and the systems of which they are a part. Engineers and designers are using computer-aided design (discussed in more detail later) to design items from airplanes to zippers.

Publishing is a good example of one industry that has changed dramatically because of computerization.Editing, typesetting, pagemakeup, photo treatments, creation of illustration, and color work can all be done electronically now – and much faster than ever before. This means that new types of jobs are being created for people who can combine publishing know-how and or language expertise with computer experience. Also, computerization has enabled more and more publishing people to work as freelancers, because they can work with almost all the other people in the publishing cycle electronically.
