2) Emphasize its most important advantages
You don'thave to describe every quality of the student. In fact, "well-rounded" or "well-balanced" students are not, what the most prestigious universities in the United States are looking for. Although the university admissions committee needs students who have excelled in many academic subjects, most of all it values the presence of a zest in the student. Universities do not need balanced students, but balanced classes. A little bit of musical prodigies, a little bit of international Olympic medalists, a little bit of businessmen, a little bit of writers, a little bit of national athletes – that's how balanced, versatile classes are created.
Recommendation letters should not describe the student as talented in all their activities. Instead, they can build a detailed picture and emphasize the qualities that are simply necessary to understand who this person is and what motivates them to act. Trying to list many advantages, there is a risk of transmitting only superficial information.


3) Stories and examples
Statements about the student should be attached in short stories. 
Compare the two examples:
1. Anna is always thinking about other people. She is kind and compassionate. Moreover, she is a talented artist. Herempathy for other people and artistic talent make Anna special.

2. Anna combined her twostrongest qualities, artistictalent and empathy, to organize a charity fair in the form of a small cafe. She arranged with the students and administration and held концертa performance concert for the students, thereby raising money for a local homeless shelter. She even convinced some businesses to provide food and equipment for the event. Such an inspiring event was a great success, and thanks to Anna's leadership , it will continue to be held next year.

The first text does not contain any examples,so the reader does not know how the recommender found out about these qualities of the student or how true this is. 
The second text shares a real-life example. It is very good if the admissions committee remembers the student for a long time against the background of tens of thousands of applicants precisely because of the story about him, precisely because of the letter of recommendation. 

Moreover, it is very effective to write a letter that is fun and exciting, making the student interesting in the eyes of the admissions committee. Stories from the student's life or interactions with them can help with this! They read applications all night, so a typical and boring email is the last thing they want.
