ABSTRACT (300 WORDS)
An abstract is a concise summary of the research´s purpose, process and results.
It is an original work, not an excerpted passage. An abstract must be fully self-contained and make sense 
by itself, without further reference to outside sources or to the actual paper. It highlights key content
areas, your research purpose, the relevance or importance of your work, and the main outcomes.
The function of the abstract is to outline briefly all parts of the research´s results. Although it is placed
at the beginning of your paper, immediately following the title page, the abstract should be the last 
thing that you write, once you are sure of the conclusions you will reach.
Abstracts should contain about 250-300 words. Write concisely and clearly. The abstract should reflect 
only what appears in your research. The following are the aspects that you need to cover in the abstract: 
1. Purpose of the research 
Here you should start by mentioning the topic and phenomenon of study. The variable, categories you 
want to observe how you identify the link of causality and the context if relevant where you did the 
observation. 
2. Main discussion from the literature 
This should build on your literature background. What is new in your research? State the value of your 
research and to whom.
3. Design/methodology/approach
Here you should mention the methodological approach you use to conduct your research.
4. Findings
Here you mention the main findings of your work. What was found in the course of the work? This will refer 
to analysis, discussion, or results.
