National literature differs from the literature of other peoples, firstly, in its traditions, national features of the characters, and the originality of the depicted life.
In this regard, the works of Uzbek writers should depict the Uzbek spirit, the Uzbek way of life, the Uzbek character and important themes and ideas of the Uzbek people.
Why do Uzbek readers read with love the novels "Past Days", "Scorpion from the Altar", "Day and Night". Fortunately for Uzbek readers, there are many such works in the golden treasure of Uzbek literature.
Independence in socio-political life, in science and technology, in general, in all sectors of life has given renewal. After gaining independence, there was a need to develop a concept for updating Uzbek literature, which has a two-thousand-year history.

Before independence, the periods of Uzbek literature were traditionally divided into two parts. The boundaries of this division are considered to be November 7, 1917, that is, Part I - History of Uzbek Literature, Part II - Uzbek Soviet Literature. There was a Chinese wall between them.
