ABBREVIATIONS

Abbreviations often found in a scientific text are a means of increasing the density of cognitive information. Special terminological abbreviations are widely represented, and common ones are also found. Frequently used and traditional abbreviations-terms are given in dictionaries and transferred to already accepted abbreviation.

There are also abbreviations that are absent in a special dictionary. If such a reduction refers to a narrow field of knowledge or is not very common, at the beginning of work or at the end of it one can meet a decoding.

If not, then the translator needs to to decipher such an abbreviation, based on the context, and give both the full version and the abridged one. It is recommended to adhere to the type of abbreviation in the original: if in the original in the text the abbreviation is given in the initial letters (acronym), then give the same option in translation, if the compound word is abbreviated, then try to stick to the same options.
