Guide a discussion about the relationship between the words and features.
During the discussion, use a class chart shown on an overhead projector or
drawn on the board and fill in the signs that have attained group consensus.

5.7. Modification. When students become familiar with this activity, they may

Conclusion. Unlike syntax, morphology, and phonology, semantics is a frequently
neglected and unexplored area. The reason for this was that the discipline was
sometimes widely accepted by contemporary scholars and sometimes strongly
rejected. Semantics is being revitalized these days. There is a lot of potential for
exploring and making this area more interesting. More research, however, is
required to investigate this vast discipline, which may undoubtedly be useful in
the EFL classroom.
