Another question to ask ourselves is: “What kind of 
clothes were we putting on and what was the color? Where 
were we going? Whom were we with at the time of the dress-
ing?” In one dream, I was putting on a green blouse with green 
slacks before traveling. To me this meant I would enjoy His 
provision in every way. 
Animals may also appear in your dreams. Ask yourself 
what is the personality of the animal in the natural. A dog or a 
lion can be both good and bad. The dog can be your best friend 
or he can bite you. Even certain species of dogs have their own 
temperament and personality. The lion can represent the Lion 
of Judah, authority, power or the devil, who is as a roaring lion. 
Foxes are smart, cunning but may represent wisdom as the owl 
or the elephant. Grasshoppers, scorpions, spiders, and all of 
God’s creatures have their own individual characteristics. Ask 
the Holy Spirit for the meaning or research how that animal 
was used in Scripture. 
There are certain authority figures, which may mani-
fest in our dreams. We may see policemen, doctors, military 
men, or politicians. Ira Milligan says: “If God wants to speak to 
us about our strengths or weaknesses, our power, or lack 
thereof, He may use one of these four divisions of authority to 
illustrate His message.”

Pastors can also appear in our dreams. What is our 
relationship to them? Do we highly respect them in love and 
honor them so that they can do their job with joy? They hear 
from the Lord and answer to Him. Do we support them in inter-
cession?
