Aero is officially up and running in Dunnellon, FL! This week, we had our Grand Opening ceremony to celebrate the new plant and expansion of Aero. We are proud of how far we have come as an organization and look forward to seeing what we can accomplish with our new plant in the future.
Happy Earth Day! Every day, Aero does our part in creating a more sustainable environment by producing UL-FGA from recycled glass for a multitude of construction projects. Over the last few years, Aero has diverted the equivalent of over 500 million bottles from landfill just at the Philadelphia plant, and we're on track to divert at least another 500 million per year going forward with our upcoming locations.
On Friday, Aero’s Rick Smith and Theresa Loux hosted Temple University College of Engineering’s ASCE student chapter for a tour of our Eddystone, PA, plant. We love sharing what we do, and what a bonus when it’s with the next generation of civil engineers!
Last week, Aero had the pleasure in assisting Sacred Heart University with the construction of the Martire Family Arena, their new premier hockey and skating arena opening in January 2023. Our UL-FGA was backfilled over 15 feet deep against the basement foundation wall to reduce lateral load and promote proper drainage.


Happy #FGA day! This week, we are highlighting the VDOT Route 7 Corridor Improvements project. Installed by Clark Construction Group and designed by Dewberry, our UL-FGA is being used to reduce the lateral earth pressures against the sound walls while being a highly permeable, free-draining backfill.
Aero's newest project takes us 500 feet southeast of the Lincoln Memorial to the Korean War Veterans Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, DC. Construction Trades Services, Inc. installed our UL-FGA to build up the new circular berm for the Wall of Remembrance and to mitigate settlement of the embankment fill behind the monument. Aero is honored to be a part of this project and thank our troops for their service.
Last Tuesday, Aero had the privilege of sponsoring Adopt-a-Road cleanup day near our plant in Dunnellon, FL. Thank you to all the volunteers that participated and helped clean our road!
