Biography of the author

Umarbekov was born in 1934 in Mirabad mahalla of Tashkent. He studied at the Faculty of Philology of Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan).

He wrote dozens of stories, short stories, novels such as "It is difficult to be a man", "Fatima and Venus", "Doomsday Debt", "Hurrying Sun", "Flowing Water", "Court", "Commission", "The First Day of Autumn", According to his application, he created dramatic works such as "Resort", "When the Earth Burns". He also wrote screenplays for films such as "A Tale of Two Soldiers," "For Others," and "Meeting in the Snow." The novel "It is difficult to be a man" won the award of the Youth Organization of Uzbekistan (1971), the film "The Story of Two Soldiers" won the Republican State Prize (1977).
