INTRODUCTION.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting dedicated to the issues of reforming the educational sphere, further development of the vocational education system and improvement of the test tests for admission to The Bachelor's degree of Higher Education.

The decree of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan "on the strategy of Action for the further development of the Republic of Uzbekistan"of February 7, 2017 sets out a number of tasks for improving the social sphere, in particular, education and science. The document provides for strengthening the material and technical base of educational institutions, construction of new educational institutions, reconstruction and overhaul of existing ones, providing them with modern educational and laboratory equipment, computer equipment, educational and methodological manuals.
In 2017-2021, their independence will be gradually developed by developing a program for the radical improvement of the higher education system, further modernizing educational programs, expanding the competence of higher educational institutions in the search for additional resources for the provision of paid services and financing.In the next year, about seventy decrees, resolutions and orders of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Cabinet of ministers were adopted. This literally ushered in the process of changes and updates in the educational system.
The topic of my term paper is as follows: "The Great Expectation" by Charles Dickens. This course work can be characterized as follows: the relevance of this work is due to several important points. We seem to be saying that the novels of Charles Dickens are one of the main directions in the development of English literature of the 19th century, especially during the reign of the Victorian Queen, that the works, in turn, were written at a high level and completed the development of the country, culture, about the lives of poor and affluent people in the Victorian era and one of the The most influential writers of the period of critical realism in English literature was Charles Dickens. Thus, the significance of our work can be proved by the following reasons: to provide information about the life of Charles Dickens. The works of Charles Dickens. study, analyze and summarize all possible changes that have occurred in the lives of the heroes of the novel "Great Expectations", mention all the main topics and opinions concerning the novel, the practical significance of the work can be concluded from the following points:) This work could serve as a good source for the study of Dickens' novel "Great Expectations" by young teachers and students of schools and colleges.) Students and teachers were able to find a lot of interesting information about this novel.
The problem of the hypothetical influence exerted by Dickens' late novels, in particular "Great Expectations", on Russian culture in the last four decades of the XIX century after their serial publication in Great Britain and America, became the reason for our study of translations and adaptations of Dickens' "Great Expectations" of the XIX century and their interpretations. reception from Russian readers and critics. The Russian translations of the "Great Expectations" of the nineteenth century demonstrate two main trends, often considered in translation theory. The first of these trends is the translator's attempt to convey a detailed, verbatim representation or "literal translation" of the text in such a way that Russian readers fully understand the fiction produced in Western Europe and America. The purpose of such a translator was to familiarize Russian readers with the literary conventions and social background of foreign works, such as Dickens novels.
