Prepositions from ... to, until. 
 
from ... to ... from Monday to Saturday 
• We lived in Washington from 1992 to 1998. 
• They study from Monday to Saturday.
You can also say from ... until ... : 
• We lived in Samarkand from 1992 until 1998.  
 
until + the end of a period 
until Friday, until December, until 3 o’clock, until I come back 
• He’s going away tomorrow. He’ll be away until Friday. 
• Alex usually works until 7 o’clock. 
• Wait here until I come back. 
You can also say till (= until): 
• Wait here till I come back. 
Compare: 
• “How long will you be away?” “Until Monday.” 
• “When are you coming back?” “On Monday.”
