• About This Template
• Use this template to define the work breakdown structure (WBS) for your project. A WBS is a deliverable-oriented grouping of project components that organises and defines the total scope of the project. It is a detailed representation of the scope statement that is often used to develop or confirm a common understanding of project scope. Work not represented in the WBS is outside the scope of the project and should not be performed. Each descending WBS level represents an increasingly detailed description of project deliverables.
• The main work components of the WBS can either represent the major deliverables of the project, or the phases that the project will go through from its beginning to completion. Alternatively, the WBS work components can be organised according to the resources that are going to perform the work; this is especially useful if the project is a partnership of several departments.
• Click on any text field to enter content. To edit this template, select “Drawing” toolbar from the menu menu. Add/remove boxes to match needs of your project. Boxes are linked using ‘connectors’ from “AutoShapes” menu. Select “Ungroup” from “Draw” menu to edit style/size of existing boxes.
