Annotation.
Single-crystal samples of the tetragonal polymer phase C60 have been studied. The crystallographic parameters of the tetragonal phase were determined by the methods of single-crystal structural analysis, and P42/mmc space group of symmetry of the crystal was refined. The structural parameters of the crystal were determined: the coordinates of atoms, temperature factors, and the configuration of C60 molecules. It is revealed that the fullerene molecule is strongly deformed in the polymerization plane, the bond lengths of the (2+2) cycloaddition regions were determined, as well as the total packing of the crystal lattice in the tetragonal phase.
Keywords: X-ray diffraction, X-ray structural analysis, crystal structures, fullerenes, fullerites, polymerized phases of fullerenes.
