Abstract: This article provides scientific information about the methods of making soft toys.
Key words: Threads of different colors with spools, circular ombur, angishvona, soft-jawed ombur, template, synthophone.
Currently, the demand for soft toys is increasing day by day. Accordingly, in order to ease the work of preschool educators and primary school teachers, we found it necessary to bring to your attention a sample of toys that are mainly used in puppet theater circles. Depending on the situation and your skills, you can make some changes to the composition and decoration of these toys. It is convenient to prepare the template according to it by enlarging the toys by 2, 3, 4 and several times using the given cells. And you know how to sew well. After each toy piece is sewn together, be sure to turn it inside out. But it can be stuffed with pieces of gauze, shavings, and cotton. Wire is used as a frame to hold the front and back legs of some toys. Eyes and branches can also be made of wood. Sometimes it is recommended to use beautiful buttons as eyes. If these details are made of cardboard, they are painted in gouache, watercolor, and varnished.

Necessary materials: For a soft toy, as new as possible, or pre-washed and ironed satin, velvet, staple, fluff, chit, woolen fabrics.
Artificial and natural wool fabrics are used to make toy animals. Chiffon, silk fabrics for doll toys depicting body and facial expressions. For the face, light pink, light brown is taken from the fabric.
For clothes: colored fabrics. For hair: artificial threads, viscose, 1-2 mm soft wires for connecting parts, for making toys, various buttons, pearls, straps, ribbons, cords, and plasticine for making sketches. The interior of the toy can be filled with cotton, synthetic fiber, knitting waste, scraps from knitting, wood shavings.
How to start teaching how to make a soft toy?
First, it is necessary to teach children to hold a needle, to use a needle holder correctly, and then to sew the simplest types of stitches. To teach the types of stitches, some practical work is recommended (sewing a handkerchief, a bag, a bookmark for a book), which will create conditions for children to master the skills of sewing types of stitches. After the children have acquired the skill of working with a needle, they can start making a simple model. Small children sew by hand, older children can sew on a sewing machine.
The process of making a soft toy consists of the following tasks: choosing a fabric, ironing a piece of fabric, drawing a pattern on the fabric, cutting parts, sewing, stuffing the inside, equipping the top.
