CHAPTER 4: TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR 
CONNECTION AND INTER-CONNECTION TO 
TRANSMISSION SYSTEM 
4.1.
 
INTRODUCTION
 
4.1.1. The purpose of technical requirements for connecting and inter-connecting the facilities 
to the transmission system, is creation of necessary preconditions for normal operation of 
transmission system and precise definition of the obligations of JSC EMS and transmission 
system users. 
4.1.2. Technical requirements for connection and inter-connection relating to electric power 
measurement are discussed in chapter 8 Electric Power Metering.
4.1.3. For technical requirements that are not explicitly defined by the Code, JSC EMS may 
refer to Serbian and the following international standards and recommendations:
- IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission);
- ЕN (European Standards); 
- CENELEC (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization);  
- ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation); 
- CIGRE (Conference Internationale des Grands Reseaux Electriques). 
In the absence of international standards, recognised national standards may also be used 
according to the following order: 
- VDE (Verbund Deutscher Elektrotechniker); 
- BS (British Standard); 
- IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers); 
- NFPA (National Fire Protection Association); 
- NF (Norme Francaise); 
- ГОСТ (Государствений Стандард).
