2022-2023 Date: __09.06.2023________ Group: ____2109_______ Name: _Obidova Sevara_ As an English Language teacher, I learned that designing communicative tasks is one of the most effective ways to help students learn new vocabulary. Communicative tasks encourage students to use the language in meaningful and authentic ways and provide them with opportunities to engage with the content and with their peers. In this reflective writing, I will share my experience of designing communicative tasks for vocabulary learning and what I learned from my groupmate. During the task, I noticed that students were very engaged and motivated to complete the activity. They were actively engaging with the language and with each other, using the newly learned vocabulary in meaningful ways. The communicative approach proved to be very effective in engaging students and motivating them to learn. However, I also noticed that some students were struggling to come up with ideas and words to use in the task. This made me realize that she needed to provide more support and instruction on how to use the vocabulary. The teacher introduced the concept of the direct method and its importance in communicating in the target language. The teacher then proceeded to provide various activities that could be used to help the students understand and use the direct method effectively. The activities included role-playing exercises, where students could practice speaking the target language in various contexts, and group discussions, where students could work collaboratively to discuss a particular topic in the target language. These activities helped to create an interactive and engaging learning environment, where students could practice speaking the target language and receive feedback from their peers and the teacher.
