In the process of delivering the lesson, I have realised that every teacher should be all-rounded and equipped with adequate skills of educating others as well as self-learning. As a future educator, she need make sure that her knowledge is always up-to-date and applicable in the process of teaching and learning from time to time. With these skills, she will be able to improvise and improve the lesson and therefore boost the competency of pupils in the process of learning. In the process of planning a lesson, she have changed her perception on lesson planning from the student’s desk to the teacher’s desk. She have taken the responsibility as a teacher to plan a whole 15-minutes lesson with group members.

She focused on authentic context. She showed many examples and exercises about the effectiveness of lessons conducted in this way. One another thing that need to be said is her tone and voice was suitable and best to deliver her speech. As she says : “TBLT provides opportunities for immediate and targeted error correction and feedback”. It was seen in her lesson clearly. She questioned some students and got answers immediately, even with some self-corrections. Her lesson gave students an opportunity to feel free to express their ideas.

As an aspiring teacher, I recently had the chance to reflect on the most effective ways to teach grammar in context. I used to think that teaching grammar involved memorizing endless rules and exceptions, but now I believe that it's more about making grammar accessible and relevant to students' lives.

“One effective way to teach grammar in context is to use authentic materials, such as newspaper articles, songs, or dialogues that showcase grammar structures in meaningful contexts. For instance, when teaching the present continuous tense, I could use a news article about climate change protests, highlighting the verbs in -ing form that show ongoing actions. By using real-life examples, students can see the relevance of grammar to their daily lives and understand how to employ it in different contexts” - as she says.

Due to her lesson delivery I realized that effective teaching of grammar in context requires a combination of authentic materials, integration with other language skills, and creative application tasks.
