• Corrected DATA6 (TaxData) data.

• Fixed KeyManager64.dll not found for 64Bit driver.
• Fixed Authentication issue -> if both 32Bit and 64Bit 
drivers are installed and one of them is uninstalled. This 
was leading to Authentication fail which in turn, was 
leading to errors.
PS: If you don’t update to Latest SDK asap, Authentication to SDK 
will start failing in few days and you won’t be able to use SDK to 
access Lacerte data.

Introduction
This purpose of this guide is to explain how to read/write data from a 2018 or later Lacerte database 
using a new Lacerte Software Development Kit (SDK). The SDK offers two integration approaches to 
read/write data:
1. ODBC driver
2. .Net Library/COM API that exposes an API via classes/interfaces
About Lacerte Software
Lacerte data resides in the Datapath in the form of DBF and detail files, which contain various data for all 
clients within a specific module. The DBF files generally contain information from the client, dependents, 
partners, shareholders, and status information. Each client also has a detail file holding most of the 
taxspecific input.
Intended users
 Users of this document should have knowledge in programming languages (like C# or VB) or 
database file operation
 Application developers who are using Lacerte software data for your application
System Requirements
1. Microsoft Windows 7 64 bit or later
2. Lacerte TY 18 software installed with user can once logged into Lacerte software
