About the beginning of our school here in Salva, we know little things, and the historical notes are very short, and we can’t tell you much about its flow of developing or about the conditions in which the school used to function.The first recognition of the pre-primary school was after 1960.Nowadays, the kindergarten with a normal program functions inside our village school, Primary and Secondary School “Tiberiu Morariu”, from Salva, district Bistrita- Nasaud, situated in the north of Transilvania. The kindergarten is formed of 3 groups, each of one having its own classroom. The school has been recently rebuilt, and the furniture is tot ally new and useful. Every classroom is also decorated nicely and the children have a lot of toys and games, thanks to the generosity of the Foundation “SCHOONEBEEK FOR ROEMENIE” from Holland. In our kindergarten, there are 52 pre-schoolars, having the age of 3 up to 6 years old. The groups are:PEACOCK GROUP( 3-4 Years) –Teacher Codrea MaricutaSTARS GROUP( 4-5 Year) –Teacher Linul CrinaLITTLE FROG GROUP ( 5-6 Years) –Teacher Gazdac VasilicaAccording to their professional qualifications, all the tutors who teach in this school and kindergarten, are very good and interested in developing projects with other schools in Europe, trying to be connected to everything new in the world or in the field of teaching.
The institution is actively involved in numerous partnerships scroll in kindergarten activities, in local and regional projects ,national and international project, in maintaining ties with families and children with the local community. Running a European projects is of great interest locally, because it would be one way of children, parents and teachers to come into contact with cultures, traditions, customs of other countries. The projects will promote intercultural learning, social integration, tolerance, friendship, learning the foreign language and the elimination of prejudice of any kind from early ages too.

Most children come from families belonging to lower middle and middle class because parents work in agriculture, some are immigrants in Spain or Italy and the children remained in the care of grandparents or other relatives and very few parents are employed . In the kindergarten there are also some children with special needs (deaf-mute and mentally retarded) to whom we pay special attention.
Our Kindergarten is the first kindergarten in the Region Bistrita-Nasaud submitting an application for Comenius project. Our Kindergarten is the first kindergarten in the Region Bistrita-Nasaud submitting an application for Comenius project.Our school is developing a Comenius project for secondary level, age group 11-14 years( We chose friendship!( 2009-2011) and a Comenius project for kindergarten level ( Lullabies-universal language of love( 2010-2012).Working within the kindergarten curriculum is based on respect for the National Preschool Education implemented in 2008.
It is the only school in rural areas who obtain the certificate by the European School in session 2013.
Our institution was coordinator of Comenius Multilateral Projects ”Lullabies universal language of love” 2010-2012 for preschool cycle ,and many ETwinning projects involving to mobility 29 teachers (90% of all teachers in the school).
