East Germanic Languages group

• The East Germanic subgroup was formed by the tribes from Scandinavia, the most powerful of them were GOTHS
• Around 200 A.D. they made attacks on the Eastern Roman Empire, Byzantium
• Goths had 2 branches: western branch Visi-gotas (invaded Roman territory), eastern branch – Ostrogotas (invaded lower basin of Dniestr)
• Goths were the first who become Christian
