Course Summary (CS)

CS

This course is designed to be taken in all undergraduate majors, and this course creates a religious mindset in the minds of students. Within the scope of the "Religious Studies" subject and tasks, the origin of religion, its nature, socio-spiritual phenomenon, and historical forms and manifestations, students are introduced closely. Students will be given a general theoretical understanding of the role of religions in the life of certain peoples, enrich their imaginations about the state and religion relations, the idea of interreligious tolerance and culture, the interpretation of religion and religious values and the importance is taught. Also, current trends in the religious sphere in the course of globalization are highlighted, attention is paid to the formation of immunity against the destructive ideas of various harmful religious sects and currents. This course consists of the following parts: - The subject of the course " Religion ". Primitive religious ideas. - Importance of Hinduism in Indian religious value system. History and teachings of Confucianism. History and teaching of Taoism. History and teaching of Shintoism. History and teaching of Zoroastrianism. The history and doctrine of the origin of Judaism - History and teachings of Buddhism. History and teaching of Christianity. Basics of history and teaching of Islam - Missionary and proselytizing: history and today, propaganda methods. New religious movements. - Religion is a factor in cyberspace. Relations between the state and religion in Uzbekistan.
