INTRODUCTION (ABSTRACT OF PHD THESIS)
The purpose of the research is to maintain the initial indicators of the quality of
cotton products and reduce the energy intensity of the process through the development
of a mechatronics system that controls the operating mode of pneumatic transport.
The objects of research. The object of the study was the process of transporting
cotton by pneumatic transport and control devices for the mode of operation of cotton
pneumatic transport at cotton ginning enterprises.
The subject of the study is the mode of operation of cotton pneumatic transport
and the design and technological parameters of its controls.
The scientific novelty of the research is as follows:
taking into account the change in the parameters of the flow of cotton pneumatic
transport depending on the nominal parameters of the fan
and the size of the pipeline, the
patterns of change in static and dynamic pressure in the pneumatic transport system
along the length of the pipeline were determined;
the minimum static pressures and air velocities required to transport cotton at the
required capacity at the head of the air transport pipeline were determined by examining
the efficiencies available at various pressures
and velocities;
according to the results of an experimental study of the fan electric drive, the
regularities of the dependence of the static pressure and air speed created at the
beginning of the pipe at different transportation distances on the frequency of the current
supplied by the inverter device to
the electric drive of the fan, the influence of the
current frequency on pressure and air speed were established;
depending on the distance of
transportation of the product, a method has been
developed to ensure a rational mode of operation of pneumatic conveying equipment,
based on a change in mutual proportion of the position of the throttle and the frequency
of the current supplied by the inverter device to the fan drive;
based on the results of studies of the effect of current frequency on the parameters
of the air flow with cotton, a mechatronics system and its software have been developed
for the rational control of cotton pneumatic transport at cotton ginning enterprises.
