INTRODUCTION
After independence, Uzbekistan needed a change in education and training. That`s why in those years the National Program of Personnel Training was adopted. The first president of our republic personally initiated in the National Program for Cadres Training. In consistent realization of the Low of the Republic of Uzbekistan On Education National Program of Personnel Training, significant place is reserved for construction of new schools, academic lyceums, vocational colleges, higher educational institution capital reconstruction and strengthening material-technical base of the existing ones, their provision with modern educational equipment.
The resolution of the president of Uzbekistan On measures to further improve system of foreign language teaching dated from 10 december 2012 is being implemented.
Our president Sh.Mirziyayev noted the need to strengthen the relations between schools and colleges, in particular reconstruction in the experimental order of the 11-year educational system at school, establishment of a vocational training under the school. In the Decree of the President of our country On the Strategy of actions for further development of the Republic of Uzbekistan of February 7, 2017, a number of tasks have been defined for the development of the social sphere, in particular, the sphere of education and science. The document provides for strengthening the material and technical base of educational institutions, building new ones, carrying out reconstruction and capital repairs of existing buildings, equipping them with modern educational and laboratory equipment, computers, educational and methodical aids. A program for the radical improvement of the system of higher education in 2017-2021 will be developed, work will be carried out on further improvement of the curricula, gradually increasing independence of higher education institutions by expanding their powers in using additional sources of funding and providing paid services. Over the past year, about seventy relevant resolutions, decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Cabinet of Ministers were adopted, which marked the beginning of a new stage in the radical reform of the education system.
Teaching and learning foreign languages is one of the most important tasks to be resolved by the nation. The progress in the development of the teaching system depends on methods chosen by a teacher. Studying the evolution of teaching methods, we can observe that changes arise according to learners breakthrough, needs and purposes. Promotion of a foreign language culture as the training purpose has become as the reason for emerging of a problem on necessity of the creation of new methodic system which could provide achievement of this purpose by the most effective and rational way.
Non-native speakers of English should find to develop fluency and exactness in speaking. In order to achieve this objective, it is important to avoid from traditional aim of teaching and to follow untraditional methodology. The tradional aim of teaching English in EFL is to teach the students to read and understand the text. But during the last year there have been changes in teaching EFL learners that the formation and development of communicative competence entered into researches interest and became the most crucial issue in EFL teaching.
Especially when teacher uses the audiovisual method, the expected outcome is achieved. Therefore, this graduation project work is also aimed to develop speaking skill of EFL students through communicative techniques especially use of video at lesson.
My diploma work is devoted to one of the actual themes: the use of video as on audio-visual material in ELT classroom.
