Socio-economic resources Tourism is a specialized type of activity that covers many sectors of the economy, from construction to transport services. Therefore, it is difficult to estimate the number of employed workers in the tourism sector. In addition, tourism is developing in interaction with many sectors of the economy, agricultural enterprises, vehicle manufacturers, furniture manufacturers and others. In this type of resource, labor resources and capital resources play a key role.
Labor resources. The physical and mental labor of people is used in the production of tourism products. The level of health and physical strength, education and skills of people play a key role in this. The amount of labor resources, skills are of great importance as an economic factor.

Tourism is one of the most labor-intensive sectors of the world economy. The peculiarity of the busy labor force in the field of tourism is that 80% of the labor force is unskilled. More than half of them are women. In addition, young people and foreign labor are widely used in the tourism industry. For example, in EU countries, one in three teenagers between the ages of 16 and 21 works in tourism services .

The World Labor Organization divides tourism employment into 3 main forms:

  1. Seasonal work, in which the number of tourists increases several times, mainly during the tourist season, thus increasing the demand for additional labor .

  2. Part-time work, which mainly includes the busy workforce in the hotel and restaurant industry of developed countries. In different countries, part-time workers make up 12% to 52% of the total hotel business workforce .

  3. Temporary employment (weekends, exhibitions ).

Capital resources If the first factors of production are land and labor, they are made on the basis of investment using labor.
The classification of capital elements is defined by experts as follows:
- main buildings: hotels, bars, restaurants, clubs and more.
- ancillary buildings: garage, heating system, etc.
- facilities and structures: roads, tourist trains, sports grounds and more.
- conductive devices: conductors, pipes and others.
- machinery and equipment: transformer, computer and others.
- vehicles: cars, buses and others.
The high share of tourism will increase economic incomes, create new jobs and develop small businesses. In tourist countries, more than 50% of the working age population is directly or indirectly connected with the tourism industry. If for some reason the number of tourists decreases, the number of unemployed will increase. However, in large industrialized countries, the population employed in tourism does not exceed 5%, but due to the development of tourism around the world, the share of employed labor resources in tourism in these countries will also increase.
In addition to quantitative analysis in the field of tourism, there is also a qualitative analysis of employment. It is known that in tourism mainly low-skilled workers, ie servants, porters, waiters work. A highly qualified guide with these
- translators, chefs, managers also work. Of course, it is important to provide this field with highly qualified specialists. Sexual analysis of workers employed in tourism is also important, with the share of female workers in the hotel industry being more than 50 percent .
