Homework Task Twenty

Write a one-page reflection about the class you taught. What were some positives and negatives of your experience, and, how will you continue to move forward in your career to pursue professional development?

Some of the common classroom challenges faced by me include lack of teamwork, minimal personal time, working towards long term goals, arguments and students excuses, etc.

With a stronger focus on individual student performance, many teachers feel that teamwork doesn't play an important enough role in classrooms. If students spend the majority of their time working individually, they don't get the opportunity to better their social and teamwork skills.

But sometimes the students get bored and try to do other activities during the lessons which disturbed me during teaching the language. They try to speak to the other students during the lessons which disturbed me a lot. Some students came late for the lessons. They enter in the class during the lessons it also disturbed me.

But anyway I found the solution to all these problems. For example, competitions. Competitions play a very important role in learning the English language. It forces the students to learn the English language, like debates, quizzes and etc.

And the next one, speaking and conversation play a very important role in learning the English language. I arrange the conversational sessions between the students. The students feel more comfortable with their friends, so I leave them to start a conversation with their friends and fellows.

In every field, students need the motivation to achieve their goals and step forward toward their success. Sometimes the students distract from their goals to achieve. Then motivational speeches and other motivational activities help them back to the track. I think every teacher should feel and know their students. By knowing them well we can organize an interesting lesson.
