conclude that there are a lot of differences on the formal and functional levels of 
expressing plurality, which can be the cause of interference in English language 
acquisition by the Uzbek students. In the English classrooms teachers need to focus on 
all forms of expressing of plurality of nouns and verbs in comparison with the mother 
tongue forms.
The findings of this study will be useful for realizing the differences between two 
languages in the aspect of expressing plurality and will be taken into consideration in 
ELT to the Uzbek group.
