"split" /split/, "stream" /stri:m/, "square" /skweә/ (ibid.73). 
Table (2): Initial three-consonant clusters 
The coda of the syllable is occupied by consonants. There is the 
possibility of up to four consonants at the end of a word. If there is no final 
consonant, the syllable will have a zero coda. When there is one consonant 
only, it is called the final consonant. Any consonant may be a final consonant 
except /h, r, w, j/ (Giegerich, 1992: 138).
There are two sorts of two-consonant final cluster. In the first case, a final 
consonant is followed by a post final consonant which is one of the sounds: 
/s, z, t, d/ as in "bets" /bets/, "beds" /bedz/, "backed" /bækt/, "bagged" /bægd/. 
These post final consonants can be identified as separate morphemes. In the 
second case, one of the pre-final consonants /m, n, ŋ, l, s/ is followed by a 
final consonant as in "bent" /bent/, "bank" /bæŋk/, "belt" /belt/, "ask" /a:sk/ 
(Roach, 2009: 73). 
With regard to final three-consonant cluster, there are two types. As the
