ARTICLE VI Special Zones and Areas & 209-23. Loading zones designated. The locations described in Schedule XV attached to and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as loading zones.
The locations described in Schedule XVI attached to and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as taxi stands.
The locations described in Schedule XVII attached to and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as bus stops.
No person shall make a U-turn on any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XVIII attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person all make a turn of the kind designated (left, right, all) at any of the locations described in Schedule XIX attached to and made a part of this chapter. 20924
12-91 & 209-28 VEHICLES & TRAFFIC & 209-32 & 209-28. Prohibited right turns on red signal. No person shall make a right turn when facing a steady red signal (stop indication) at any of the locations described in Schedule XX whenever official signs are present prohibiting such turn.
No person shall make a left turn at any of the locations described in Schedule XXX. ARTICLE VIII Lane Use & 209-29. Lane use reservations. The lane locations described in Schedule XXI attached to and made a part of this chapter are designated as lane use reservations, and traffic shall move only as indicated.
A. W henever snow has fallen and the accumulation is such that it covers the roadway, no vehicle shall be parked on any street, avenue, highway or portion thereof in the Township of East Brunswick. B. The above parking prohibitions shall remain in effect after the snow has ceased until the streets have been plowed sufficiently and to the extent that parking will not interfere with the normal flow of traffic. & 209-32. Posting of signs. A. Upon the declaration of an emergency, there shall be no parking upon streets or sections of streets where temporary emergency no-parking signs are displayed. The Chief of Police or, in his absence, the ranking police officer is authorized to declare an emergency and to direct the posting of said emergency no-parking signs when weather conditions, accidents, fires or public celebrations dictate or require the avoidance of hazards or other conditions which interfere with the free flow of traffic. 20925

& 209-32 EAST BRUNSWICK CODE & 209-37 B. Notification that the emergency no-parking signs are being or will be posted shall be given to the operator or owner of any vehicle which has been parked prior to the posting of the signs. & 209-33. Removal of vehicles. Any unoccupied vehicle parked or standing in violation of this Article shall be deemed a nuisance and a menace to the safe and proper regulation of traffic, and any peace officer may provide for the removal of such vehicle. Before regaining possession of the vehicle, the owner shall pay the reasonable costs of the removal and storage which may result from such removal.
The effectiveness of this Article is contingent on signs being erected as required by law. ARTICLE X Speed Limits & 209-35. Limits established. [Amended 1-11-88 by Ord. No. 87-891] The speed limit for both directions of traffic along the streets or parts thereof and shopping center parking areas described in Schedule XXIII attached to and made a part of this chapter is hereby established at the rate of speed indicated. & 209-36. Posting of signs. Regulatory and warning signs shall be erected and maintained to effect the above-designated speed limits as authorized by the Department of Transportation.
Traffic control signals shall be installed and operated at the intersection of those streets described in Schedule XXIV attached to and made a part of this chapter. 20926
9-88 & 209-38 VEHICLES & TRAFFIC & 209-39 & 209-38. Installation of signals. The traffic signal installation shall be in accordance with the provisions of an act concerning motor vehicles and traffic regulations, Subtitle 1 of Title 39 of the New Jersey Statutes Annotated, shall conform to the design and shall be maintained in operation as authorized by the Department of Transportation of the State of New Jersey.
Subject to the provisions of Subtitle 1 of Title 39 the following location shall utilize a Traffic Control Signal Monitoring System: Route 18 and Tices Lane ARTICLE XII No-Passing Zones & 209-39. No-passing zones established. No-passing zones are established and maintained along those streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XXV attached to and made a part of this chapter, as authorized by the New Jersey Department of Transportation in accordance with the sketch dated and numbered as indicated. 20927 10-10
