Why do we need pronoun.

Yesterday Ravshan went to the party, Ravshan were happy, Ravshan spent a lot of money , Ravshan came home too late.

Why do we need a pronoun

• Pronouns make our speech less boring
• We do not have to repeat our subject
• We can identify our subject in a variety of ways rather than by names

There are 7 types of pronouns.

• Personal
• Demonstrative
• Reflexive
• Intensive
• Indefinite
• Relative
• Interrogative

Personal pronouns

• Personal pronouns always refer to people
• There are 3 types of personal pronouns
• Subject , Object , Possessive.

Subject, Object and possessive pronouns.

• Subject pronouns: I, you, he, she, it, we, they
• Object pronouns: Me, you, him, her, it, us, them
• Posessive pronouns: My, mine, your(s), his,her(s), its, our(s), their(s)

Demonstrative pronouns

• Demonstrative pronouns demonstrate or point out things like people, places, objects or ideas
• Demonstrative pronouns are: This, That, These, Those.

Indefinite pronouns

• Indefinite pronouns refer to a person, place or a thing that is not specifically named
• Indefinite pronouns:

Some, Any,None, Every, and their compounds.

Relative and Interrogative pronouns

• Relative pronoun is a pronoun that introduces a relative clause.
• Interrogative pronouns introduce a question
• Both pronouns are same except What and That
• Relative pronouns: Which, Who, Whom, Whose and That
• Interrogative Pronouns: Which, Who, Whom, Whose and What.
• Relative and Interrogative pronouns are twins.
