This is the season
When mornings are dark,
And birds do not sing
In the forests and park.

This is the season

When children ski
And Father Frost brings
The New Year Tree!

New Year’s Day, a happy day!

We are glad and want to play.
We all dance and sing and say:
“Welcome! Welcome! New Year’s Day!”

What a wonderful day

Everything is shining,
Older year going away
Kids in circle lining.

Snow is falling on the ground

And it’s very clear,
You can hear a jingle sound,
Happiest new year!

I wish I were a snowman

So tall and big and white
I’d never have to clean my teeth
Or go to bed at night.

Let this cold day of December

Make you happy. And remember:
Santa Claus comes at night,
Bringing gifts so nice and bright.
