My favourite website
My favourite website is YouTube, because I can watch or download any types of video there.
I can also share my favourite videos with the rest of the world. Everybody knows that it is the most popular video site in the world.
I like it for three reasons. Firstly, I can listen to the music that I like on this site and watch the video clips of the new songs. Secondly, I can find almost every new movie or cartoon there. Thirdly, on YouTube I see the latest news that happened around the world.
YouTube is a video-sharing website headquartered in San Bruno, California, United States. The service was created by three former PayPal employees in February 2005. In November 2006, it was bought by Google for US$1.65 billion. YouTube now operates as one of Google’s subsidiaries. The site allows users to upload, view, and share videos, and it makes use of WebM,H.264, and Adobe Flash Video technology to display a wide variety of user-generated and corporate media video. Available content includes video clips, TV clips, music videos, and other content such as video blogging, short original videos, and educational videos.
Most of the content on YouTube has been uploaded by individuals, but media corporations including CBS, the BBC, Vevo, Hulu, and other organizations offer some of their material via YouTube, as part of the YouTube partnership program. Unregistered users can watch videos, and registered users can upload videos to their channels. Videos considered to contain potentially offensive content are available only to registered users affirming themselves to be at least 18 years old.
Every time I watch youtube videos, mostly they are funny videos or stand up comedy videos. Also, I love to check out new trailers of coming movies so I can talk to my friends what the movies is about.
I used to watch youtube to learn English online, this is an example of a way to improve your study because there are so many educational videos that students can study online.
