Currently, the importance of tourist resources in the socio-economic life of 
Uzbekistan is growing significantly. The socio-economic condition of our cultural 
tourism resources in our country, their service areas for tourists follow certain rules, 
observations are made and corrections are made to them. Because our country is 
located on the Great Silk Road, the number of tourists visiting our historical 
monuments is increasing every year. In this regard, if we look at the statistics of the 
years, we will see how much they have increased. In particular, the data on the 
growth of foreign tourist arrivals in 2018 are as follows. From this data, we can see 
a significant increase in 2018 compared to 2016. However, with the increase in the 
flow of tourists, several problems become evident. The lack of hotels and other 
means of accommodation, especially during the tourism season, 310 out of 7,476 
tangible cultural heritage objects are in an accident or abandoned condition. Cultural 
heritage objects and museums are not equipped with modern technologies. Despite 
the fact that we have a great opportunity to increase the flow of tourists in 
Uzbekistan, it is necessary to study the science of "Tourism economy and

management" in order to study and analyze the ways to eliminate the problems and 
shortcomings mentioned above. Our republic has very rich opportunities for the 
development of international cooperation in the field of tourism. These include the 
fact that a branch of the "Great Silk Road" passes through our republic, our world-
famous historical and national cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Shakhrisabz, 
Kokon, Tashkent and other cities, our regions rich in natural and healing resources, 
Chimyon, It includes Shakhimardan, Zomin, Boysun, Sherabad and other cities. Up 
to now, it can be considered that the foundation for the development of modern 
tourism in Uzbekistan has been laid. Tourism zoning works are being carried out in 
the territories of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and tourist districts are being 
established in several cities of our country in accordance with these plans. The main 
goal of our coursework is to establish tourist areas and increase the tourism economy 
in our country, to get acquainted with the work being done and planned in this regard. 
It is also important to create factors that help to improve the socio-economic status 
of existing tourism and its further improvement. Currently, tourism in Uzbekistan is 
a young sector and needs various support measures from the state. In particular, 
competitors use a large number of different tax and foreign economic incentives. 
Therefore, it is difficult for us to compete with them in the production and 
consumption of tourist products. For this reason, the satisfaction of tourism needs 
for the development of the tourism economy consists in studying the life, history, 
and customs of the people who visit the people, the interests of cultural and historical 
values, the environment, and the natural resources. Sightseeing is important. Things 
seen and heard during the excursion will remain in the memory for a long time. 
Acquaintance with the culture and customs of the peoples of different countries 
broadens one's outlook and spiritually nourishes a person. We have only one 
question in this regard. What is the state of tourism in Uzbekistan and what needs to 
be done to develop it. For this reason, it is important for us to use the opinions of 
experts in the field of fashion. Tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors of the 
world economy. Its comprehensive development is becoming a source of great 
income for many countries.
