21. Global warming 
A gradual rise in global temperature is caused by polluting gases like carbon dioxide that accumulates in 
the air around the Earth and prevent heat from escaping into space. 
22. Greenhouse effect 
An increase in the amount of carbon dioxide and other gases in the atmosphere is believed to be the 
cause of a gradual warming of the Earth’s surface.

A teacher who visits schools to advise teachers on curriculum developments within a particular subject 
area
