Traveling to Budapest

Budapest has a population of over two million people. The river Danube divides the city into two parts. On the west bank there are the woods and hills of Buda and the old town. On the east bank there is the biggest and more modern Pest, the business and shopping centre.

Six Bridges join Buda and Pest. For nearly thousand years Buda and Pest were two towns. In 1873 they joined. Budapest is very unusual because it has two completely different parts.
The public transport system In Budapest is one of the best and cheapest in the world. You can travel by underground, bus, tram and tax. Most cars are old, so pollution is bad. The healthiest tj do in the city is to visit one of the thirty spa baths and swimming pools. The mineral waters if Budapest are famous.


Traveling to Prague

Prague has a population of over one million people. It is not the biggest city in Europe, but it is certainly one of the most beautiful. It is built on seven hills on the banks of the river Vltava.

Bridges cross the river. The most famous is Charles Bridge. Prague didn’t become the captal until October 1918. People call it “The golden city” and the “Mother of cities”, because it still has many beautiful Mediaval buildings and statues.
The most popular building is the Old Town Hall with its amazing 15th century astronomical clock. People also call Prague Europe’s school of music/ there are many concert halls and twenty theatres and many old pubs, bars and restaurants.


Travelling

Travelling plays a very important part in our life. Millions of people all over the world spend their holidays traveling. They ravel to see other countries, modern cities, ancient towns. They discover new things, meet different people, listen different music. People also try to visit different galleries, museums.

Most of them prefer to go to the sea or to the mountains. Travellers take camera with them and take pictures of everything. People travel by train, by boat, by car, by plain. The best way of study geography is to travel. If we are found of travelling, we see and learn a lot of things that we can never see or learn at home, though we may read about them in books and newspapers, and see pictures of them on TV. Most people prefer to travel by train.
Travelling by train is not so fast but it gives your opportunity to watch beautiful sights from the windows of the carriages, to read your favourite book, to get acquainted with the passengers. All people choose traveling by smth. According to their plans and possibilities.
