Activity 3 Look and say.

Objectives: to revise vocabulary from Class 1; to enable pupils to use the structure “I’ve got …” with school things

STEP 1: Ask the pupils to look at the picture. Explain that the pupils there are playing a game. Say that the first boy is saying: “I’ve got two pens.” and the girl is saying: “I’ve got three pens.”. Play the DVD and ask the pupils to listen and repeat what the pupils in the picture are saying. After that ask the pupils to look at the next girl and boy with

books and guess what these children are saying. Answer Key: A boy: “I’ve got a book.” A girl: “I’ve got four books!”

STEP 2: Ask your pupils to put all their school things on the desks and prepare for a game. Say that they will play a similar game. Demonstrate what to do with the first pair.

Note: If necessary, revise school things: a book, a copy book, a ruler, a pen, a pencil, a crayon. You can revise by asking a question “What’s this?” or “Is it a pen?” etc.
