Optional Activity 5 Play “Bingo”.
Objective: to revise cardinal numbers
STEP 1: Draw a grid like the one below on the board.
STEP 2: Tell the pupils that they are going to play Bingo. Askthe pupils to draw a grid on a piece of paper. Then ask them towrite any numbers from 10 to 20 in figures in each space in thegrid.
STEP 3: When they finish writing, call out random numbersfrom 10 to 20 and keep a careful note of the ones you have calledout. Explain that each time you call out the number pupils shouldcross it out if they have it. As soon as they have put 3 crosses onthe grid vertically, diagonally or horizontally, they must shout“Bingo!” The first pupil to shout “Bingo!” is the winner.Then check to make sure the numbers crossed out have beencalled. You can play the game again if time allows.
