Activity 6 Play “Letters”.

Objective: to consolidate the letters learnt so far

Ask the pupils to look at the picture and say what the childrenare doing. (They are playing a game.) Ask what the boy whichthrew the ball is saying (A) and what the boy catching the ball issaying (Apple).

Say that they will also play the same game. Explain that whenPupil 1 says the letter “E” and throws a ball to Pupil 2, Pupil2 must say any word which starts with the letter “E”, e.g. “elephant”,etc. You can also play the DVD to show how to do itcorrectly.

Note: If necessary, revise the letters and words and/or put thecards with words on the board.

Homework

Draw the pupils’ attention to Page 9 in their Workbooks. Saythat their homework is on this page. Ask whether the homeworkis clear to them. If necessary, explain that they should connectletters in Activity 2 and also colour the picture.Say that they should also continue writing the letters in Activity5 on Page 8.
