• Necati Shashmaz (full name - Muhammad Necati Shashmaz) was born on December 15, 1971 in Eastern Anatolia - in the ancient Harput region of Elazig, one of the seven geographical regions of Turkey. This mountainous region in the east of the country (its name translates as "the land of the east") is the largest region, occupying one fifth of Turkey's territory.
