Many elements make up a plant‘s environment. One of the most important is weather. Sunlight, temperature, rain and snow affect the growth of the plants. The environment of the plant also includes the soil and the other plants and animals that live in the same area. All these factors make up natural formations. The plants grow in groups, which protect them from cold and wind. Today man – made canals irrigate some deserts and so farmers can grow there cotton and other crops which require high temperature. There are such canals in Uzbekistan. High yields of important crops are grown there. Plants are living organism that can live on land or water. That basic food for all organisms is produced by green plants

I Read and translate an extract from the text.
There are four seasons in a year. They are; winter, spring, summer and autumn. Winter months are :December, January and February. Lakes, rivers and streams are frozen, and the roads are sometimes are covered with slippery ice or deep snow. The trees are bare, because bitter winds have stripped them of all leaves. The days are short and the nights are long in winter. The weather is cold and it usually snows. People play snowball and make snowmen. There are many holidays in winter. They are: Constitution Day, New Year. Spring is very beautiful season in a year. Spring months are: March, April and May. The weather is fine, it is warm. In spring nature awakens from its long winter sleep. The trees are filled with new life. There are storms with thunder, lightning and hail. There are many green trees, beautiful flowers in the streets, in the parks and in the yards.
