Conclusion
Religion had great influence on the anthroponomical system of the two languages. Social-political and historical-cultural processes taking place in the social life of the people played an important role in the development and formation of the Russian and English anthroponomy. Russian names as well as the English Puritan names can contain the meaning of the sentence. Modern British and Americans, as well as the Russian have returned to the traditional naming from time to time enriching its borrowings from other languages and invented new names.
This review of naming practices around the world has hopefully made clear that so many of the implicit assumptions that citizens of the English-speaking nations make about names in other countries are simply wrong:

  • It is assumed that the meaning of names is important - but (virtually) all names have meaning if only we knew it and, in many, many cultures, names are chosen precisely because of their meaning.

  • It is assumed to be respectful to name a child after a parent or grandparent which is commonplace in Western culture

  • It is assumed that, when someone has more than one given name, the first is the one used in everyday life - but in Germany it is the second or the given name nearest the family name that is the 'call name'.

Personal names are so important. They define in large part who we are, how we are perceived, and even how we perceive ourselves. When we meet someone new, the first thing we tell that person about ourself is our name. Conversely, the first thing we learn about that person is his or her name. So much about us changes as we grow older, but most people keep the same name. If we change it - for instance, a woman adopting the surname of her husband on marriage - it marks a very significant event in our lives. When we choose a name for our child, it is usually a very careful and deliberative act.
Nommo,3 "the force that makes things live as what they are", and that a name is so important to defining something that a child is not alive until it is named.
At a societal level, names can tell us so much about gender, religion, class, caste, nationality and ethnic origin. Looking at the origin of names and the changing choice of names can reveal much about a community or nation.
Giving a name to a newly born child is a careful and deliberative act in each family all over the world. Personal names are so important. They define who we are, how we are perceived, and even how we perceive ourselves.
Names have always fascinated me because I believe a name does influence a person’s character to a certain degree. When I meet someone for the first time, one of the first things I love doing is asking the meaning of their name I am proud to tell everyone my name because it represents who I am. Words have meaning and names have power so choose your children’s name carefully. Juliet asks, ‘What’s in a name?’ I think the answer to that is everything.
