HOWEVER, if you are using information from one of your own previously published works (journal article, book chapter, etc.), you MUST cite it just as you would cite another author's work 44.What is Verbatim plagiarism? Verbatim plagiarism means copying text from a source and pasting it directly into your own document without giving proper credit. Even if you delete a few words or replace them with synonyms, it still counts as verbatim plagiarism. To use an author’s exact words, quote the original source by putting the copied text in quotation marks and including an in-text citation. 45.What is Mosaic plagiarism? Mosaic Plagiarism occurs when a student borrows phrases from a source without using quotation marks, or finds synonyms for the author's language while keeping to the same general structure and meaning of the original.
