There are three basic forms of tourism: domestic tourism, inbound tourism, and outbound tourism. These can be combined in various ways to derive the following additional forms of tourism: internal tourism, national tourism and international tourism.
12. How many types and forms of tourism, including organizational bases, are divided into? What are the 3 main types of tourism
Tourism is travelling from one location to another, either within your country’s borders or across the borders, for leisure, educational, medical, or other reasons. In recent years, the tourism industry has experienced significant growth because of the change in people’s lifestyles, reduced air travel charges, and thirst for education. The type of tourism depends on why you choose to travel to the specified destination; hence, there are various types of tourism. We give you in this article a list of the most common types of tourism.

1) Inbound tourism

Inbound tourism is, in a sense, the goose laying the golden eggs as far as the tourist industry is concerned. Inbound tourism is the name given to people coming from their own country of residence and booking tours and reserving accommodation with their hard-earned foreign coins. 2.Domestic Tourism - What is domestic tourism?Domestic tourism is when citizens of a country travel within their country of residence. Citizens choose domestic tourism because it is cost-effective and allows them to explore some of the physical features and other historical sites. 3) Outbound tourism - What is outbound tourism? We won’t be speaking much about outbound tourism today but it’s worth defining all the same, just in case you encounter it in some report or other along the road to self-improvement through research and development. Outbound tourism is the type of tourism that other countries call inbound tourism.

13. How many regional divisions of tourism are there?
tourism region is a geographical region that has been designated by a governmental organization or tourism bureau as having common cultural or environmental characteristics. These regions are often named after historical or current administrative and geographical regions. Others have names created specifically for tourism purposes. The names often evoke certain positive qualities of the area and suggest a coherent tourism experience to visitors. Countries, states, provinces, and other administrative regions are often carved up into tourism regions. In addition to drawing the attention of potential tourists, these tourism regions often provide tourists who are otherwise unfamiliar with an area with a manageable number of attractive options.
Some of the more famous tourism regions based on historical or current administrative regions include Tuscany[1] in Italy and Yucatán[2] in Mexico. Famous examples of regions created by a government or tourism bureau include the United Kingdom's Lake District[3] and California's Wine Country in the United States.
