Action plan research:
How the games help to improve speaking?
Topic:
The aim of this research are describe what extend games improve speaking proficiency of 8th grade students and identify the situation when the games are implemented in the speaking class.
Research questions:
1. Can and to what extent games improve the students’ speaking proficiency?
2. How is the situation when games are implemented in the speaking class?
Participants:
In this action reaseach, 40 students are pariticipate from 2 8th grade pupils. Speaking skill of half of them is B1 level, the others' level in this skill is A2, and the experienced teachers.
Intervention:
I want to know about the role of speaking games in improvement of pupils' oral skills, and their reactions about the games.
Data collection:
First of all, I observe the other teachers' speaking lessons and identify which games are interesting and useful for pupils, then, I organize the interview the teachers whose students achieve fluently speaking and ask about which games and activities are used in that classes. At the end of my research, I hand out question list about the speaking games, are they important and interesting, which games can help making progress in speaking and etc.
