Abstract. This article is devoted to the means of the security system, in particular sensors. The article is written taking into account modern requirements for improving the quality of installation work when equipping facilities with engineering and technical means of security systems, as well as types of sensors, their scope of application. In addition, the article intentionally lacks technical characteristics and descriptions of specific models of technical means of security systems.

Ohmic sensors are the simplest type of security sensors. They are a thin metal conductor (foil, wire), specially fixed to the protected object or structure. They are designed to protect building structures (glass, doors, hatches, gates, non-capital partitions, walls, etc.) from unauthorized entry through them by destruction.
Contact sensors are designed to lock various building structures for opening (doors, windows, hatches, gates, etc.). The contact sensor consists of a sealed magnetically controlled contact (reed switch) and a magnet in a plastic or metal non- magnetic housing. The magnet is mounted on a movable (opening) part of the building structure (door leaf, window sash, etc.), and a magnetically controlled contact is mounted on a fixed one (door box, window frame, etc.). To lock large opening structures (sliding and swing gates) with significant backlash, electro-contact (ohmic) sensors of the track type are used limit switches.
