Utkir Hoshimov

Utkir Hoshimov was born in 1941 in Dombiravot district of Zangiota (now Chilanzar) district of Tashkent region. Utkir Khashimov was a Soviet-Uzbek writer. His childhood passed in difficult conditions of war and famine, despite having good performance, he had to work from an early age to help his family. O`. Hoshimov started his career early. While studying at the Faculty of Journalism of Tashkent State University, he also worked in Tashkent, Zheleznodorozhniki.  Along with studying journalism at Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan), he worked as a newspaper editor. From 1959 to 1963 he worked as a mail carrier, copyist and translator in the newspapers "Railwayman", "Red Uzbekistan", "Transportniy rabochiy". Later he worked as a literary worker in the newspaper "Tashkent Haqiqati" (1963-1966), head of the department in the newspaper "Tashkent Oqshomi" (1966-1982), G. He was the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Ghulam Publishing House of Literature and Art (1982–1985).

° His works:

His first book was a collection of essays in 1962, Steel Rider. More than 60 books have been published in more than two million copies in various languages. A number of plays have been staged in theaters in Uzbekistan and neighboring countries. Films and TV films based on novels, short stories and short stories were shown.

Novels - “Light is not without a shadow” (It has been published about ten times in different languages), “Between two doors”, “Life spent in a dream”, “Moth day”, “ What people will say, “Unique Spring”, “Listen to the Heart”, “Earthly Affairs”, dramatic works - “Spring Passed By”, “Someone Else Care”, “We Invite to the Wedding”, “Repression”.

Stories - “Love”, “The last victim of the war”, “Uzbek business”,

He also translated into Uzbek the works of E. Hemingway, K. Simonov, A. Kuprin, O. Berggolz. His works have been printed in many foreign languages.

1987–2000

He has visited Mexico, Turkey, the United States, Switzerland, China, Pakistan, Austria, Slovakia, India, Bangladesh, and a number of neighboring countries as part of official delegations and business trips.

He was awarded the State Prize of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the novel "Between Two Doors". (1986) .He was awarded the “Order of the Badge of Honor and the title of “People's Writer of Uzbekistan”. He was awarded the Oybek Literary Prize for his story "World Affairs"

A prominent Uzbek writer O'tkir Hoshimov has passed away on May 2013, 24 at the age of 72....

Interesting Question ! (If he were alive…) , I would like to Know about his Daily life and interests, what he Does , How he speaks with his Fans, Whether he could cook or not, what he does with his Children and generally, with his family in Spare time an so on.

I would also be eager to listen from him about his writing career and discuss it - what’s his plan on writing novels , poems, stories for audience and what motivates him to write them.



In brief, Utkir Hoshimov is my childhood hero and I have always wanted to meet him. His books are quite special to me and helped me in developing imagination. Sometimes his Books inspire me to a great extent.

The way U. Hoshimov had influenced millions of children and adults all around the world is quite unmatched.
