WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT

AXMATOVA MADINA

PLAN:

1.Web development 2.Website coding 3.website and CRM Integration

Web development is the work involved in developing a website for the Internet (World Wide Web) or an intranet (a private network).[1] Web development can range from developing a simple single static page of plain text to complex web applications, electronic businesses, and social network services. A more comprehensive list of tasks to which Web development commonly refers, may include Web engineering, Web design, Web content development, client liaison, client-side/server-side scripting, Web server and network security configuration, and e-commerce development.
Among Web professionals, "Web development" usually refers to the main non-design aspects of building Web sites: writing markup and coding.[2] Web development may use content management systems (CMS) to make content changes easier and available with basic technical skills.
For larger organizations and businesses, Web development teams can consist of hundreds of people (Web developers) and follow standard methods like Agile methodologies while developing Web sites. Smaller organizations may only require a single permanent or contracting developer, or secondary assignment to related job positions such as a graphic designer or information systems technician. Web development may be a collaborative effort between departments rather than the domain of a designated department. There are three kinds of Web developer specialization: front-end developer, back-end developer, and full-stack developer.[3] Front-end developers are responsible for behavior and visuals that run in the user browser, while back-end developers deal with the servers. Since the commercialization of the Web with Tim Berners-Lee[4] developing the World Wide Web at CERN, the industry has boomed and has become one of the most used technologies ever.
2. At this step, you can finally start creating the website itself. Graphic elements that have been designed during the previous stages should be used to create an actual website. Usually, the home page is created first, and then all sub-pages are added, according to the website hierarchy that was previously created in the form of a sitemap. Frameworks and CMS should be implemented to make sure that the server can handle the installation and set-up smoothly.
All static web page elements that were designed during the mock-up and layout creation should be created and tested. Then, special features and interactivity should be added. A deep understanding of every website development technology that you’re going to use is crucial at this phase.
3. What is CRM integration? And how can you integrate your CRM to your CMS?
CRM stands for Customer Relations Management. It is a software product type allowing for automated collection and processing of various data that your customers submit on your website. However, CRM is not only about collecting basic customer data, as standard web analytics tools do this well enough. CRM software helps to do the following:
  • Managing your existing customer base and adding new prospects from leads
  • Connecting your marketing and sales operations into a streamlined process
  • Building a centralized marketing, sales, and customer support strategy
  • Increasing your ROI (nearly $6 increase per $1 invested).

CRM integration implies merging your CRM software with your website’s CMS (content management system, like WordPress, Drupal or Joomla). After the integration process is completed, you will receive a robust and powerful tool that will help you manage your customer base better in order to meet their needs. Its main benefit is that you will have an explicit picture of your sales process and you’ll be able to leverage the incoming data by shaping your sales activities and yielding better results
There are multiple ways you can integrate the CRM of your choice with your website:
  • You can choose a solution like Salesforce, which integrates with a bunch of CMS automatically, but costs quite a sum annually. Your employees will most likely be able to install and configure the software themselves and you will have provider’s support if need be.
  • You can order CRM integration as a service from a specialized company as many other (open-source, i.e.) CRM solutions may be lacking some modules (automated integration into CMS in particular), so these modules should be added and configured by specialists to reduce the configuration and data synchronization time.
  • Alternatively, you can order a custom CRM solution if you have specific needs. It will take longer than buying an out-of-the-box product, yet it will be personally tailored for your requirements.

  • The path you take depends on your preferences and company goals.

THANK YOU
