INTRODUCTION
In the past few years, there has been a lot of talk about the need to teach writing in high school along with other types of speech activity. Obviously, written speech ceases to play only an auxiliary role in teaching a foreign language. In the new standard of secondary (complete) general education in a foreign language, along with the ability to fill out a form, questionnaire, sign a postcard, write a letter, summarize the content of what they have read, students are required to be able to "tell about individual facts / events of their lives, expressing their judgments and feelings" . Thus, the teacher must prepare students to create written messages with very different functional and communicative orientation, content, compositional structure and language form.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev emphasizes: “Currently, in our country, great importance is attached to the study and teaching of foreign languages. And this, of course, is no accident. Today, for our country, striving to take a worthy place in the world community, it is difficult to overestimate the importance of the perfect knowledge of foreign languages by our people, because our people see their great future in harmony, cooperation with foreign partners.
The school learning process changed in accordance with the social order of society, as well as its goals and objectives. In particular, the practical goal of teaching was transformed as follows: teaching a foreign language - teaching a foreign language speech - teaching a foreign language speech activity - teaching a foreign language communication. However, the main contradiction of the modern stage can be considered the fact that the proclaimed practical (communicative) learning goals, which involve mastering a foreign language as a means of communication, in most cases are not implemented in practice, since the current formal speech approach is aimed mainly at achieving pre-communicative results. learning.
Written speech is considered as a creative communication skill, understood as the ability to express one's thoughts in writing. Possession of written speech allows you to really use the knowledge of a foreign language, being outside the language environment, communicating with native speakers using modern means of communication. The ability to write personal and official letters, the need to fill out questionnaires, document forms, etc. motivate students to actively master written communication in the target language. Written speech allows you to save linguistic and factual knowledge, serves as a reliable tool for thinking, stimulates speaking, listening and reading in a foreign language.
