Abstract: The concept of "image" has been the subject of increased public attention in the 
late 80s due to new socio-economic conditions of society. And this concept is seen as a means of 
manipulating mass consciousness. Initially, the concept of "image" has arisen in the field of 
entrepreneurship as a primary means of psychological impact on the consumer. Later, the image 
has become a major public rileyshenz psychological categories - public relations, firmly 
entrenched in social and political life.

Introduction 
Professional image – features of a person's appearance as a subject of activity, reflecting the 
degree of his professional success; stimulates the growth of authority; expands the prospects of a 
professional career, professional vocation; acts as a condition for professional self-realization, 
achieving professional heights [5,15]. In the public consciousness, the idea of the image as a 
certain value is increasingly fixed, on which the success of the activities of any individual, any 
organization depends. This concept is actively used in the mass media, in the system of 
marketing, advertising and public relations. Most often they talk about the individual image of a 
person — a political leader, a statesman, a movie star. Almost as often one can hear about the 
image of a firm, organization, political party, social movement or other manifestation of the 
corporate image [4,35]. 
Professional image, being a component of professional culture, functionally provides a link 
between professional knowledge and personal development, determines competitiveness in the 
professional environment. 
Professional image is an important component of the image. The interval life strategy aims a 
person to achieve life success in the labor sphere. Professional career largely depends on the 
level of development of a positive professional image.

The problem under study has centuries-old epistemological roots: thinkers of antiquity tried 
to understand the origins and determinants that determine a person's destiny, the meaning of his 
life, life success as its goal and apotheosis, life path as the achievement of happiness. These 
issues were considered both from the point of view of being conditioned by external factors 
(fate, fate), and from the position that a person is able to influence his fate, change it by his 
actions.
