Study program : REHABILITATION Name of the course: MEDICAL ETHICS Course leader : Zana Dolicanin Course status: Elective ECTS: 6 PREREQUISITES: A student should be enrolled into first year of study AIM OF THE CLASSES Philosophical, pshycological and common aspect of moral, personality and moral, magical and historical approach to moral as well as oaths and codexes in medicine.
Students will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with theoretical and practical apsects of ethics as a science, and especially with medical ethics. They will acquire knowledge necessary for moral judgement (pshychological, common, individual health). They will especially acquire the necessary knowledge for understanding the essence of Hippocratic and other oaths and the most important medical codes (Seneca, Largus, Geneva declaration). The most significant outcome of the course will be acquiring principles of ethics of health workers in certain disciplines and practical communication with the patient.
